I have the Maximus V Formual which has the Intel Z77 chipset. I just did a clean install of Windows 10 64Bit.
Sadly I did NOT find much drivers on Asus website, in particular the SATA drivers for the Intel SATA Controller. In device manager I have listed under IDE ATA/ATAP Controllers category the following 3 entries: Standard SATA AHCI Controller.
Without the proper driver, performance and functionality is limited, correct?
Any suggestions where I can download the Intel SATA Driver for Windows 10?

Under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' you should have 'AMD SATA Controller' and 'Asmedia 106x SATA controller'. These drivers are on the motherboard cd. You may need to reassign priorities in the BIOS, it's under the 'BOOT' section. I have mine setup much like you do. 4 Find your Asmedia 106x SATA Controller device in the list and press double click on the hdc device. Click Reinstall driver button. 5 Choose Install from the specific location and click on the Browse button. Click on the Next and Finish button after that to complete the installation process.
